While he may pretend to be mild-mannered assistant and producer, Delbert Shoopman is in reality an Internet Funmaker. Why, just last week, he announced his involvement in a jazz-fusion HIP/HOP dance team called the KRU-dités, he put out a press release announcing his retirement from eating guacamole, and bought a zoot suit just for the lulz. Let’s not forget his involvement in The Footloose Remake project, a collection of amateur filmmakers and video-making enthusiasts recreating the Kevin Bacon classic. Or IKEA HEIGHTS, a melodrama shot entirely in the Burbank Ikea Store without the store knowing. Delbert blogs about his amazing adventures and about being positive. (YAY!)

As a narcissist with great looking friends, it was natural for James Nord to fall into photography. (Preferred equipment: Canon 1DS-Mark II with a 50mm 1.4 attached.) His passions are as diverse as his tie collection, but the most apparent is his love of cycling: James put over 10,000 miles on his bike this year! He got his first interview for his job thanks to his blog, his favorite word is “vulpine” (it means foxlike), and he wears a suit every day.

Since then, he’s made appearances on The Andy Dick Show and Reno 911!, among others. These days, he’s a host for the TV Guide Network. Ian Andersen always liked comics, but it wasn’t until he found James Kochalka’s American Elf that he started making his own. “The idea of just doing a strip a day about my own life really blew me away,” he says. Like many other cartoonists before him, he discovered that this daily routine pushed him to improve his ability in both drawing and writing. Ian has posted a daily comic for two years now, attends college, and drinks lots of coffee.

Unified Theater is a student-driven initiative that facilitates inclusion of young people with and without disabilities through the performing arts. They partner with middle and high schools, train student leaders, and help coordinate a final production which includes students of all abilities. Founded in 2002 by Micaela Connery when she was only 15, Unified Theater has programs running in 27 schools throughout five states and has let thousands of young people step into the spotlight.
